George J. Kellis, M.D. is a
board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in spine surgery, joint
replacement surgery and general orthopaedics. Dr. Kellis is a founding
partner of Precision Orthopaedic Specialties, Inc., which was
established in 1991.
A recognized leader in orthopaedics, Dr. Kellis is a fellow of both the
American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and the North American Spine
Society. He instructs resident physicians in orthopaedics and lectures
on advanced techniques in spine surgery.
Dr. Kellis’ professional career has been built upon a strong academic
foundation. George Kellis was a summa cum laude graduate of Bethany
College. He earned has medical degree from the Ohio State University
College of Medicine in 1984, graduating with honors. His internship and
residency were served at Case Western Reserve University, University
Hospitals of Cleveland. Between 1985 and 1988, Dr. Kellis served as a
flight surgeon with Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital Life Flight.
He has as well, completed a microvascular research fellowship at Case
Western Reserve University and has published in the field of
microvascular replantation. Dr. Kellis has obtained numerous awards for
his achievements in both clinical and laboratory research.
Dr. Kellis treats the complete spectrum of orthopaedic conditions
utilizing progressive techniques. He utilizes the latest procedures in
minimally invasive knee and hip replacement and performs the full range
of spine surgeries which includes microdiscectomy, spinal fusions with
intervertbral cages and pedicle screws, pain pump implantation, spinal
cord stimulators and kyphoplasty. |
